In close cooperation with our partner in Northern Ireland and the responsible architect several special variations of standard ORION models were developed for St. Patrick’s Church in Donaghmore. The basic concept for the lights came from the “Design by ORION: STÄBCHENSERIE”.
Instead of fitting the lights with full glass rods, satinated glass shades in botryoid form with diamond cut were mounted. The suspension of the chandeliers on three chains with embossed brass chain links also fits well into the new design. Carrying out this project for St. Patrick’s Church was accomplished within a short time span after ordering, since it included variations of standard models.
The classic lights were entirely equipped with LEDs, enabling a bright illumination of 1000 lm per glass shade. Highly pleasing for ORION is that the very positive completion of the project let us be chosen as lighting furnisher for a number of other buildings of worship in Northern Ireland.
