Open brick walls, high chimneys and a lot of metal – that is the look of a typical factory from the turn of the 20th century. The restaurant “Kesselhaus” was opened on a vacated floor of this factory in the Karlsruhe suburb of Grünwinkel. Its project management wanted to focus on crystal for refurbishing and the adaptation of the event and restaurant facilities – and found a partner in ORION.
Based on the concept of the “RING” series, we developed perfectly fitting large scale lights for the interior in close cooperation with the customer. Several lights in 180cm diameter on a customized suspension now embellish the restaurant. “RING” was equipped with additional bands of LED RGB lights to be able to give the room varying light cues.
Orion shows the versatility of “Design by ORION: RING” that fits into modern as well as traditional interiors. Within a very short time span ORION was then able to complete the project to satisfaction. The “Kesselhaus” contractor had first noticed ORION’s exhibit at the 2016 trade fair “Light & Building” – “Design by ORION: RING” immediately catching his eye.
